“ Perhaps the best grilled oysters I've had since the turn of the century! Also Butterscotch toffee pie is wonderful! Great food and wonderful people working here. ”
“ The Halfway House, a Brinnon landmark for many years, is a small restaurant with an old fashioned diner feel. The main restaurant seats about 40 people at tables with an additional 7 stools at the counter. The staff is welcoming and friendly and many of the patrons are locals. The food was excellent, and they sell wonderful homemade pies. If you like seafood, there are lots of choices. I hear they also serve a wonderful breakfast, but I haven’t personally tried it. ”
“ Swung by on a whim as I was heading back to Olympia from Sequim. Never heard of the place. Hands down one of the best Rueben sandwiches I’ve ever had. Nice staff, reasonable prices. I’ll be sure to stop again the next time I find myself out this way. ”
“ A must stop along the Olympic Peninsula. The pies are freshly baked and so amazing. Daily breakfast/lunch/dinner specials are creative & delicious. The Saturday night prime rib dinner is one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is like you are part of their family. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. ”
“ We went to Shrimp Fest, and had the shrimp (13.00), of course!. But everyone there...the placed was packed...were raving about the home made pies and goodies. I know it is a great burger place. Casual, kid friendly and a short drive to Rocky Brook falls, a short walk to the falls, great for kids ”
“ The Halfway House really has it all. We came in after an all day hike to grab some food while our friend with a migraine waited outside. The staff were so wonderful and kind, more than willing to do what they could to help. We came back the next day for shakes and the staff remembered us and were so kind! If we ever end up in the area again we'll definitely be back :) ”
“ This place is soooo fantastic!! Michelle (owner) chatted with us and gave us some backstory, everyone was so friendly, and the food was AMAZING!!! We went for breakfast and everything was delish! It was my bday and they gave me a complimentary piece of their famous pie (I picked Marionberry) and it was the most perfect piece of pie I have ever had! So fresh and not too sweet. I can’t wait to be back in Brinnon and visit my friends at the halfway house! Also stop by Dose Grind across the street to see Rebecca for a Latte to fuel your daily hike ”
“ We went there 2 weeks in a row! Scrumptious food & wonderful staff. I witnessed food disappearing magic with my kids. If you are in the area, definitely check out! ”
